A WEEK AROUND MONT BLANC,
2012-01-29 19:00:06 freeride word tour stops nr. 2 and 3 happend this week in chamonix and courmayeur.
i took nina and keano along and it was really fun to have
both of them around during the comps.
in cham, i was unlucky to have very flat light during my run, making it really hard to charge. nevertheless, with a fluid line i scored a 5th place.
in courmayeur, conditions wer finally really good and so was my motivation. but i took not enough risk in the good conditions, whereas others charged more and so a 7th place was a bit disappointing. should have known better.

the familiy now moved on to the ispo tradeshow, before next week a filmsession in engadin takes place and after that the freeride qualifier in hochfügen.

FWT USA - a big drop & a low score,
2012-01-10 22:08:34 the competition in revelstoke happened last saturday in really good snow conditions on the mack face. a pretty cool venue, fun to ro ride but super short. like always on short faces i had troubles finding the kind of challenge that puts me into competition mode, i simply am and will alwayas be a big mountain rider and not a minigolf-face jibber.....
so i decieded to go for a big drop towards the end of my line to spice things up a little, but still could not focus the way i am used to for a comp at the start gate. the super flat light did not help to motivate me either, and i felt the result straight away, as i sat on my ass hardly being out of the start gate. the big drop afterwards was fine...but the landing a bit too flat for the sheer size of it, as you can guess looking at the picture (-:
