what to say....a week in california and the highlight was definitely NOT the snowboarding in squaw valley but rather the surfing in santa cruz!

the day after arriving in squaw (thanks kip and tal for putting us up!) we did a pretty jetlagged competition run on a little "face" called silverado, with around 150m vertical drop and changeable snow conditions. i rode a nice line which was original but not as spectacular as necessary to be in the top 5 (see last blog entry for details)

then it started snowing and nina, matthias "hauni" haunholder and me went to san franciso for some city life.

we were still waiting for the REAL comp to happen on the famous tram face. 

but with the snowstorm continuing for days, the comp finally had to be canceled.

so the results of day one counted as the final ones (1.jeremy jones, 2.jonas emery, 3.xav delerue) and matthias and me were pretty angry at first, but then made the best of it: we did`t even go back to the mouintains but went to see some friends in santa cruz and enjoyed the surf there.

i am number four on the tour now which is not bad after all.

next tourstop is tignes and i cannot wait to finally kick some ass!!!!!!!!!
