06-04-01: Still in Alyeska and it looks like we're gonna be here for a few more days. We woke up to snow falling - a classic Down Day. It looks like we'll have enough options - cat boarding, sleds, heli or husky sleds! - and there's always the girls in town to keep us occupied (we get an invite and the boyz get prepared for a big night, starting 10.30pm at the Max`s). 07-04-01: We go out with the cat, but the chugah powder guides are very serious when it comes to safety. Every little roller we wanna surf down, the guide has to go down first and tries to cut it of - what the fuck? When we want to drop a wind lip with a cliff under it, Michael our guide tells us "for the 5th time" that there's no question about it - it's definitely not possible when he is in charge of safety. So back down in our RV it's not a hard decision to bail asap. This time we're heading for Valdez.
08-04-01: After a stormy night's drive we reach Valdez at noon. It's an insane day and the mountains look unreal - spines, steeps, we want it! We find out that the ferry to Cordova is just about to leave and because its too late for setting up any flying in Valdez today, we catch the ferry to Cordova to meet Kevin and his crew at the Points North Heli Operations. The ferry cruise along the spectacular coastline of Prince William Sound is insane and we chill out and get inspired by the scenery of snow-covered islands, inlets, fjords, lush rainforests and towering mountains. As soon as we get to the lodge (a former fish cannery located right at the Orca Inlet), we remember why we wanted to come back to Points North so badly. One of the heli's is just flying in, and Mardy the pilot prooves his heli freestyle skills trying something like a FS rodeo. Big smiles. Our friends Dave Barlia and Miles D take a 1500 ft lift up to get a little skydive in before dinnerÖ
